5.i Snowhead Mount

Clock Town (Bomb Bag)

Your side by side objective is the snow-covered mount known as Snowhead to the northward. In order to become there, even so, you're going to demand Bombs. This guide covered purchasing the Big Flop Handbag back at the beginning of Chapter 2, just if you accept not all the same washed so, you can either purchase the regular Flop Pocketbook from the Flop Shop in West Clock Town for 40 rupees (which allows you lot to carry up to twenty Bombs), or you can rescue the Old Lady in North Clock Town at 12:00AM on the get-go nighttime, then purchase the Big Flop Bag for 90 rupees (which allows you to bear upward to 30 Bombs). By doing this, you tin skip straight to the upgraded Bomb Pocketbook.

Termina Field

Slash some of the circles of bushes to gather up arrows and Bombs, since you lot volition need both for this journey. Go downward the ramp into the snowy area where you'll see Dodongos (day) or Eeno (nighttime). The fire-breathing lizards can be defeated past smacking their tail, simply they have quite a bit of health and die much faster if you utilize Bombs or the Smash Mask. The snowmen are adequately easy; simply get close using your shield and slash them up. Be warned that the larger ones will split into several when defeated. If yous haven't done and then already, you can collect a Slice of Heart here by defeating two Dodongos that appear in a hole nearby. This hole is under a mushroom off to the left.

Climb the ramps to the north and you'll come to some large chunks of ice. If you touch them, they volition freeze you and deal quite a bit of damage before y'all break complimentary. If y'all wait above the water ice, you'll see an ice stalactite that is hanging straight over it. Y'all tin target it and speak with Tatl, who will point out that yous could pierce right through it with two shots of some kind of weapon…Whip out your trusty Bow and prove her point.

Route To Mountain Village

Run forward and you'll encounter a new enemy: a Bluish Tektite. These things will hide under the snow and pounce once you lot get shut, and then be emotionally prepared to whip out your shield on a moment's notice. Keep upwards and eventually y'all'll come up to a wall of snowy boulders that block your path. If you lot stand well-nigh them, Tatl will tell yous to nail through them. Apply either Bombs or Blast Mask to practise just that, then go on onward.

Mount Village

This isn't much of a hamlet. It'south only i edifice! You lot'll see there'south a shivering Goron on meridian of a ledge, but yous can't do annihilation with him at the moment. Run forward once yous regain control and cross the niggling bridge to observe an Owl Statue. Slash information technology with your sword to wake it up, then turn around the other way, following the path behind the lone building.

Road To Goron Village

This area is somewhat bowel shaped, and if you aren't careful, you'll fall down into the lower portions and have to have the ramp to get back up (at the beginning). Run forward, killing the Blue Tektite that gets in your fashion, then cross the first bridge. Here, y'all'll encounter a new enemy called a White Wolfos. These stake and pasty hounds appear when you get close, and they're excellent at guarding themselves. Expect until they assault to strike. If you can get their backside, it will do double harm! Continue across the bridges and shoot down Tingle who is floating around nigh half-way through the area. Buy the Map of Snowhead from him for 20 rupees, then continue on the last stretch to enter the Goron Village.

five.2 Goron Mask

Shrine of Truth

You can speak with the Gorons effectually town if y'all'd similar, though most of them are indoors because everything's frozen over right at present. Get to the opposite side of the hamlet where you'll see a large floating island off in the altitude. At the edge, you'll see Kaepora Gaebora perched atop the nearby pillar. Every bit soon as yous become close, he'll talk to yous for a moment nigh courage and the like, then tell you to follow him. He then gain to drop feathers upon invisible, icy platforms. The feathers will disappear after a brusk time, and so don't take too long. If you mess up, y'all'll accept to leave the area and come dorsum to brand him do it once more. Jump from one to the adjacent, steadily working your mode forward. Once you lot become to the stop, enter the shrine.

Open the large chest ahead to receive the Lens of Truth. Set it to 1 of your C buttons and the fun begins. Blow up all of the giant boulders here with either Bombs or the Blast Mask and use your Lens of Truth to notice two chests. One contains a purple rupee (50) while the other (which is guarded by an invisible Skulltula) contains a cherry rupee (twenty). Slash the bushes to get more Bombs and magic, then leave the shrine.

Spirit of Darmani

Dorsum outside, use the Lens of Truth to run into the icy platforms that were previously invisible. Jump dorsum beyond them and you lot'll run into a floating Goron on the ledge. Now that you lot can see him, go ahead and speak with him. He'll be surprised, merely quickly ask you to follow him. At this betoken, you can only stop using the Lens of Truth to conserve magic and follow his shadow. You tin can slash the snowballs along the way for more than magic if you need any. Follow him through the village, and one time he stops moving (at the go out), use the Lens again and stand next to him to make him go through. Follow him.

Dorsum along the Road To Goron Hamlet, use the Lens again to get the spirit moving. Y'all tin can turn off the Lens over again and follow its shadow. Lookout man out for the White Wolfos and Blue Tektite forth the way, so apply the Lens again once you go to the end to make it go on to the next area.

Finally dorsum in the Mountain Village, use the Lens again to get it moving, then follow information technology over to the h2o. At this point, you'll see information technology fly upwards to the top of the cliffside, which you'll see, has a ton of ladders on information technology. To get across the h2o, you can either bound on the small-scale iceberg that'due south spinning around or just wear the Deku Mask and hop to the other side. The latter is probably the easier option. Use the Lens to run across the grippable points and first climbing. The correct path is shown in the image on the left: right, left, right. When you lot achieve the top, slash the snowball here to get some magic, then use the Lens to make the spirit finally enter the Goron Graveyard.

Healing Sorrows

Inside, use your Lens one last time to speak with the spirit. He introduces himself at long last as Darmani the Third, the proud Goron Hero. Apparently, he tried to get to the Snowhead Temple on his own to stop the unnatural cold that is coming from the mountain, freezing Snowhead and slowly killing his people. On the way there, he got diddled off the mountain past the fierce blizzards and died. Yipes! Better not fall off yourself then, huh? His soul is overcome with grief and cannot laissez passer on while his people endure.

Well, he asked you to heal his sorrows, so play the Vocal of Healing and witness a distressing cutscene of Darmani crying because he could not save his people. At the end, he will pass on his duty to yous and grant y'all his powers. As expected, you will then receive the Goron Mask, which will let you to change into the very class of Darmani! Everyone will think you are him. Put on the Goron Mask, and then read the grave for more instructions on how to use it if you lot wish. There is also a summarized version off to the left that may be a little more handy.

five.three Goron Lullaby

Hot Leap H2o

Merely outside the Goron Graveyard are two Gorons. The one who isn't frozen mentions that there's a hot spring below Darmani'south grave. Go back inside and pull it back (from backside) as a Goron. This will allow this lower area to fill up with steaming Hot Leap H2o. Snag some in a bottle, but it won't stay hot for long! Either run out of the cavern, have off the Goron Mask and spring into the water, OR, Soar to the Owl Statue in Mountain Hamlet. Once you brand information technology down, run in the direction of Goron Village. The Bunny Hood can be really useful here.

On the Road To Goron Village, get across the outset ii bridges, avoiding the White Wolfos. At the third isle, just earlier the entrance to Goron Village itself, you'll see some ice blocking a pigsty in the ground. Use the Hot Spring Water here to melt the ice and allow you to enter the hole from now on. There isn't much to do with this now, merely information technology'll come in handy in a moment. Continue on into Goron Village.

Goron Shrine, Crying Babe Goron

As soon as you enter, you can go across the bridge and speak with the Goron here above the door. He'll open up the door by pounding the footing (which y'all can now do yourself as a Goron past pressing A + B). Merely outside of the shrine in the Nintendo 3DS version, you lot'll detect an owl feather where yous will be able to save your progress. Either way, enter into the Goron Shrine.

Within it seems that the infant Goron is crying so difficult that all of the fires in the shrine have been blown out. You can chat with the various Gorons inside who all basically tell yous the aforementioned things: They thought Darmani was dead, the cold has fabricated trade most impossible (so stuff in the shop at the lesser is expensive), the Goron Elder went to Snowhead in Darmani'southward place and the Goron Elder's Son is lonely and volition not stop crying. Go to the top of the shrine and speak with the crying baby on the throne while wearing the Goron Mask. He'll recognize you as Darmani and explain that he misses his daddy (the Goron Elder). That'southward all you demand to do here, then go alee and leave the shrine.

The Goron Elder, Lullaby Intro

According to the Gorons within the Goron Shrine, the Goron Elder started heading to Snowhead, but that was quite awhile ago. They don't think he quite fabricated it, and then where could he be? There'southward actually iii places he can be, depending on which 24-hour interval it is.

The Goron Elder is found inside a giant snowball (that can be broken up with the Blast Mask, Bombs or a good old Burn down Dial while wearing the Goron Mask) and he steadily moves forward each day. If it'southward the starting time solar day, he'll be virtually the entrance to Goron Village, if it's the second day, he'll exist near the ramp towards Mountain Hamlet, and if information technology'due south the third twenty-four hour period, he'll exist right next to the Owl Statue in Mountain Village itself. Once you've determined his location, return either to the Goron Graveyard (where you got the Goron Mask) or the hole you unfroze on the third platform on the Road To Goron Village (whichever is closer).

Take hold of some Hot Spring Water, render to the correct boulder, break it with a Burn down Punch and thaw the Goron Elderberry. Wear the Goron Mask and speak with him twice to tell him of the situation with his son. NOTE: You take to have spoken to his son earlier this or information technology won't work! Upon realizing that his son misses him, he will teach you the Lullaby Intro. The poor old guy tin can't call up the residual.

Elder'southward Son, Goron Lullaby

Run back to the Goron Shrine, stand in front of the babe Goron and play the Goron Lullaby while wearing the Goron Mask. The Goron Elder'due south son will then teach you the last function of the song (which is ironically very simple), and after repeating it back to him, he AND the two nearby Gorons will fall asleep.

five.4 Goron Goodies

Annotation: This unabridged section consists of optional content. At present that you lot have the Goron Mask, there are a few goodies yous can get, including a Flop Purse upgrade, a new mask, and a Piece of Heart. None of this is required to progress through the primary quest. To continue onward in the main quest, jump alee to section five.5.

Don Gero'due south Mask

Now that the kid is asleep, the torches in the throne room are lit. Slash the nearby jars to get a Deku Stick, put on the Bunny Hood if y'all accept it, and run out of the room with a lit Deku Stick, lighting the torches on the ramp direct ahead. Turn to your right and light all the torches going down as quickly as you can! At the bottom, hop onto the platform, lighting the concluding two torches. Once all of the torches in the room are lit, it will cause the chandelier at the top to kickoff spinning.

Go dorsum to the top and put on the Goron Mask. Whenever yous see these ramps (at the edge betwixt the two torches), information technology means you lot can use a Goron Roll to launch up into the air. The reddish carpet here is slippery for some odd reason, just only about the doorway and into the throne room itself.

Stand on a slippery portion and concord A and forward on the Analog Stick to begin rolling. Considering of the slippery surface, yous should have more than than enough room to charge up and launch forward. If you lot fourth dimension it well, you tin blast one of the five pots with the Goron faces on them that make up the chandelier. Iv of them are empty, but simply keep using the process of elimination until you lot find the Rock Sirloin. This hefty and obviously hardy meal of stone is just the ticket y'all demand to get your next mask. Pick it up as a Goron and exit the shrine.

Now, if yous happen to be full on rupees (200), caput over to the nearby Business organization Scrub while wearing the Goron Mask to purchase something handy. If you don't take that much, only follow forth. You lot'll have to carry the Rock Sirloin all the way back to Mount Village. Simply ignore all of the enemies you lot see. Alternatively, you could only gear up down the rock (why can't yous throw it at them? That would hurt!) and defeat them with your fantastic Fire Punches.

One time you brand it dorsum to the Mountain Village, head over to the ledge on the west side of the expanse where there'south a shivering Goron wearing an odd-looking green mask. He'll inform you that he's too famished and common cold to make it down. Toss him the Rock Sirloin to give him the energy he needs to return home, blessing y'all with Don Gero'south Mask as yous office means. This is a cool little mask, but unfortunately, you won't exist able to use it until much after. That'southward all that in that location is to exercise here, so use the Owl Statue if you oasis't already to create a spot you tin soar to.

Goron Collection

Soar back to Clock Town and assemble (or withdraw) some rupees. Enter the Treasure Chest Shop in East Clock Boondocks and pay the girl at the desk-bound while wearing the Goron Mask. She's a stickler for dazzler and will charge you the largest amount, but the prize is a wonderful Slice of Heart if you win!

The checkerboard floor contains invisible walls that you lot tin can but see once you go shut to them, ascension upward to stop your progress. Quickly attempt to memorize the maze (which changes each time you play) and get to the breast at the finish!

Use either the Goron Mask to curlicue (although you'll bounciness off the blocks if you lot're not careful), or the Bunny Hood, which makes this mini-game much easier!

One time yous have acquired that fantastic prize, assemble (or withdraw) a total of 200 rupees and soar back to Mountain Village. Run all the way back to Goron Hamlet and chat with the Business Scrub if yous haven't already. He mentions that he's looking to exercise business organisation with Gorons, and if you lot clothing the Goron Mask when chatting with him, he'll make y'all a special deal: an upgrade for your Bomb Bag for 200 rupees!

Hopefully you've already purchased the Large Bomb Bag back at the offset of Chapter 2, which the Business organization Scrub will upgrade to the Biggest Bomb Bag. If you lot only have the regular Bomb Handbag, he'll just upgrade it to the Big Bomb Bag and you'll have to render to get the Biggest 1, unfortunately.

five.5 To the Temple

Play the Song of Soaring and return to the Owl Statue at the Mountain Village. From here follow the pathway at the northwest part of the area, which leads to the Road to Snowhead.

Road To Snowhead

Y'all'll find a new variation of an old enemy here: Ice Keese. Perhaps one of the most hated foes in the unabridged Zelda series, these guys do quite a flake of damage and are annoying to avoid if y'all don't come across them coming. This is the first area in which you take to utilise the Goron Jumps extensively. Curl upwardly and roll towards the first ramp. If you charge it up for long enough, the spikes volition come out and you'll exist propelled frontward over the gap. You tin coil through these snowy boulders or you lot tin stop rolling and use Fire Punches to break through the ones that arrive your way. At the second ramp, accuse up another roll if y'all aren't zipping around already and launch yourself over to the last side. Pause some snowy boulders here to get some magic and go north.

Here, you'll immediately find an Owl Statue. Slash it with your sword to actuate information technology. At present is a great time to save, equally you'll exist heading to the dungeon from hither.

Snowhead

Now that you accept that Slice of Middle, the Bomb Bag upgrade also as the Owl Statue on Snowhead, y'all should likely play the Song of Fourth dimension to relieve. After that, play the Inverted Vocal of Fourth dimension to slow downward fourth dimension and soar back to Snowhead. Slash or punch the nearby snowballs to stock up on armament and the like, placing the Fairy in your bottle if you wish.

As you lot walk frontwards, Tatl gives you a hint on what to do next. She mentions something about "seeing," which is a inkling to utilize the Lens of Truth. If yous do, yous'll see a very big, invisible Goron by the name of Biggoron, who is blowing gusts of wind in this management. Every bit with all of the dungeons, you must utilize the area's respective transformation mask and song to proceed. Put on the Goron Mask and play the Goron Lullaby. You'll come across a short scene of Biggoron dozing off and falling down into the abyss. Ouch!

With him out of the way, you tin can run forward, using Burn Punches to smash the giant snow boulders that ringlet your style. One time you get to the ramp, just use A to coil up it. At the pinnacle, you'll encounter some White Wolfos, which you tin just ignore. If yous'd like to kill them, you can actually hold A and printing B to perform a Goron Pound, which, if you fourth dimension it right, will hit them from behind and deal more than damage.

Off to the left is a ramp leading clockwise up Snowhead. Follow it upwards, using Fire Punches to break through anything that gets in your manner. If yous're really daring, you could also apply Bombs (which are hard to time well) or the Blast Mask (use the Shield to not take harm). Alternatively, y'all tin just wait until they pass (since they driblet down at gear up points) and and so go along. At the very top, you'll come to the archway of the Snowhead Temple.
